Manerba del Garda is a town that extends between the green hills of Valtenesi and the coasts of Lake Garda. It is located in the heart of the Valtenesi, a landscaped area between Padenghe and Salò, which is very well known for the production of wine. The municipality consists of five hamlets: Solarolo, Montinelle, Balbiana, Pieve and Gardoncino. These so-no scattered on the hills next to the wonderful Rocca di Manerba Park. The landscape presents the morainic hills, vineyards and olive groves. The few remains of the Rocca di Manerba, one of the most significant medieval fortresses in the whole territory of Lake Garda, destroyed by the Venetians in 1575, rise on a high rocky block, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake, the surrounding hills, Mount Baldo until you reach Torbole - Na-go with your eyes. Noteworthy are the Archaeological Museum and churches full of frescoes, which testify to the ancient regions and cultural traditions passed through this area over the centuries. One of the favorite destinations is the idyllic Island of San Biagio, also known as Rabbit Island. Also very beautiful is the natural park under the Rocca, which is home to over 400 types of plants. Every Friday in Manerba the weekly market takes place. Various activities and events are also organized, for example the engaging trip to discover the protected natural park around Ma-nerba. During the year there are concerts for young people and adults, cultural events and outdoor cinema. During the summer months, exploration of manerba's most picturesque squares and corners is made more difficult by the use of a small train within the city.
